Langlie receives SPARC award

Lab director BrieAnna Langlie was awarded a data and analytics award from the National Science Foundation funded Spatial Archaeometory Research Collaborations (SPARC) program at the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST) at the University of Arkansas. In collaboration with CAST, we will be a building a GIS databased of agricultural land forms throughout the Lake Titicaca Basin in the south-central Andes of South America. We will be using remote sensing and aerial imagery to carry out this research. The Altiplano Agriculture and Communities Projects hopes to use these data for archaeological fieldwork in the near future. Stay tuned to this page for updates.
