Three Sisters Garden Planting

On May 4, 2021 we successfully planted the first Three Sisters Garden in collaboration with Angela Fergusion and the Onondaga Nation Farm on the Binghamton University campus in the courtyard of Science 1. This garden not only provides a tangible lesson in traditional ecological knowledge, it also cultivates a relationship in the collaborative annual planting and harvest with the Haudenosaunee who have lived on the lands that Binghamton University occupies for time immemorial. We are thankful to our campus partners who made this garden possible and to all those that came out in support of the planting. Check out the news coverage of the planting event here, here, here, and here.
